Osage county Missouri, some power outages and storm damage. Winds gusting above 60 mph and about 1/2" of rain.

Last night, wind blew over our plastic roll out garbage container. Yesterday morning, garbage containers set out along hwy 50 were knocked over and blown about.

Edit: Checked the fence line this afternoon. Had two huge trees blow over. Both trees about 100 feet down a very steep bank. First tree fell short of the fence. Second tree fell over the fence but did not take down the fence. Only way to get to this tree is on the neighbor's side of the fence.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Worst of it passed about 70 miles north of me. We got some rain, but I slept right through it all.

Glad your ok!! We had very high winds/nasty lightning and a half inch of rain.----The third turbine NW of the house here shucked a blade in the storm!---Don't know if lightning strike or just wind took it off, but its scattered all over the field.---the tips of these reach up 500' at top of rotation so I imagine the wind at that level was wicked! thanks; sonny

Was in the center of the tornado watch, severe thunder storm area until midnight. Spent the entire evening watching a local news channel with full time coverage of the storm, until the storm passed.

This is one of turbines that lost at least one blade the other night!

Jackman,---ya,----they is massive! total weight is around 265 tons, ---PLUS the 1,000 tons of concrete that they sit on, so it's hard to visulize without actually seeing them in person.----we have 2 of them on our farm, plus we live in the middle of the 240 turbine field.
I have a folder of the construction of them from the base excavation to the prop hang, and everything in between! thanks; sonny
