My favorites are my first rifle my parents gave me, a Remington Sportsman 74 Auto chambered in 30-06. My new favorite is a Thompson Center Venture chambered in 6.5 Creedmore.

My all time favorite was a Browning A-Bolt stainless chambered in .270 Winchester short magnum. I never could afford the rifle so I did some trading of 2 other guns and got it from a friend. I have 2 super nice bucks on the wall I took with it. 2 years ago our church did an all in campaign to raise funds to build a satellite campus. Our preacher sold his Harley and donated the money as an example for others. My wife and I don’t have a lot of money so I told her I wanted to raffle the Browning off and donate all the money for the church project. We sold tickets to a certain date for $5 each. Did the drawing and wrote the church a check for $1,985.00 I don’t regret it one bit, I have memories hanging from the gun.
