Kentucky Winter 2006

Postby KYMike » Sat Feb 11, 2006 3:52 pm

Looked pretty snowy out this morning so I grabbed the camera and took a few snapshots around the property. This is the first real snow we've gotten this winter in So-Central Kentucky and we ain't doing any complaining.

Looks nice.

We are supposed to get 6 to 12 inches tonight and tomorrow. First time I can remeber the forecast stating a Blizzrd warning for the area and not just a winter storm warning.

That's what you call a real snow fall. I have to go to the South Island to see the likes of that.
Great pics, thanks.

Sold the grader blade last year in hopes of locating a Cub disc but no luck so far. Only problem is the money I got for the blade went to fencing for the milk goats so it may have to wait a bit (hopefully no longer than spring!).

I'm way north of you in Ohio but my wife's family is around Elizabethtown. We were camping at Barren River Lake last summer.

Hey Scotty D,

Just read on NOAA.com the following

TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BY SUNDAY NIGHT WILL RANGE FROM 10 TO 18
INCHES...WITH LESSER AMOUNTS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES ON NANTUCKET WHERE A
MIX WITH RAIN IS POSSIBLE FOR A FEW HOURS SUNDAY AFTERNOON. ISOLATED
SNOW TOTALS OF 2 FEET ARE POSSIBLE IN THE AREA FROM PROVIDENCE TO
BOSTON AND SOUTHEAST TO THE UPPER CAPE.

Looks like we are in for it.

Can't wait to plow tomorrow. Ran the cub this afternoon for awhile to make sure that there was not anything sounding funny.
