For several years, I have been trying to attract purple martins to my property. Each year, a couple will fly in, stay a few moments, then leave. I was lucky enough today to get a pic. I hope they stay. 8)

Cub Bud, did they stay? I've had Martins at full capacity all my life and they always come in February. Last year they came as usual, stayed a week and a half and left. This year they came the first week in April. I have room for 60 families but only about 30 families stayed and are raising young. When I cut grass they fly around me scolding me for being so close to their house.

No, they did not stay. The house is empty again this year. :(

This is in my front yard. There 's no birds because it's in the middle of the day. In the mornings and evenings there are a lot of them.
