Gypsum is the answer to clearing up a pond. You can buy it at a feed and seed store as a fertilizer in 50# bags. I used to have the formula but lost it. My mud hole is 25' x 75' x 4' deep and I use one 50# bag. Take 2 quart jars and dip them in your pond to fill them up. Put 2 tablespoons of gypsum in one and nothing in the other one. Leave them over night and the next morning the one with the gypsum will be clear enough to almost drink. A lot of people break up old sheets of sheetrock and distribute it in their ponds because it is made of gypsum. In my opinion though, aeration is the most important thing.
