Yup, I like my Massey-Harris #1.. I would have liked an IH, but beggars can't be choosers.. Sure saves a lot of back breaking work. I am looking forward to next year.
One of my ideas is to have tag along trailer to go with the digger so I just do the one row. Then wash em, dry em and pack em in the cold room...
And I help Em with cooking em.. cause I likes taters.. a lot
Did you find a part number yet to figure out which digger you have?????

I looked for the IHC logo all over the machine on the weekend as I was greasing it and did see part# but didn't write any down. I will tonite or tomorrow nite because dirtdevil is looking for some part# on another thread. You're right about saving work and it sure is a pile of fun to watch the tasty things climbing the conveyor.
Yeah I'll cook them too. Last nite it was french fries smothered in Heinz's finest.

Sorry about last night. I was able to get the pictures formatted and uploaded to the server for the how to, so maybe I can get that finished tonight and possibly some of the pages from the manual. Will try.
Darned diabetes is acting up.. tickin me off.. so it is taking a bit longer than I would like. Good thing this is the easy and restful stuff...

Hmm
If I ever get my field plowed and disked up. It looks like a great way to get all the rock up to the top. Is there a way to get it to drop into a cart or wagon

I think so. A sturdy bracket and hitch would be needed. I was thinking about that myself and had heard tell of such a thing.

That is something Gord and I have been playing with. I am going to use a small trailer in behind my potato digger before I spread the manure. The rocks like taters will travel up the elevator and roll off the back. I saw this as I harvested my taters last time around. I hope to do that next week and pick rocks. We know it will work, just need to figure out the mechanics and get the time to do it.

That is so cool!!!!! I wish i had a potato picker but here again i don't have the room around my house. I can barely turn my tractor around in my backyard.

Cool digger, I had my eye (no pun) on one in Connecticut...a green one (again no pun) but it was $550 and was too much at the time. Maybe another one will come along...there is one down the road as a lawn ornament. Maybe it still works???
