Hey Ketcham- D'you plow with the H and the little genius? I guess you found your wheel you were looking for then. Would love to see pics. I need to get the Cub plow out, got TC to rebuild first though, if I can ever find time. Its getting where I could probably take off the belly mower for the winter, so I could plow with the other Cub. Take care and have fun!!

Way to go Kevin
. You might ought to check into locating another Sweet Thang, might not have to use that buzz saw as much sawing firewood if you'd get a BODY to help keep you warm

Kevin,
I was Looking at the wheels on my dock yesterday. They are temporary spares with 16 inch rims. The bolt pattern is 5 bolt though. If you're good with a torch and welder, maybe you could cut the 5 bolt center out and replace with a 4 bolt center. Temp spares cost me $5 at the junk yard. Never been on the ground.

Kevin, if you leave it rough (do not disk) it will dry quicker in the spring.

I would like to kill the grass thats growing in it.Discing would cut it up pretty good. Its drying out now ,but that is a good point also.Kevin

or, disk it now, and plow again in a month or two. MORE SEAT TIME.

I think I might do that. The first plowing was a little tough on that old motor, but did the job.Next time might be a little easier.Had a god time doing it!!!Want to try to kill as much grass and weeds before spring.
Now looking forward to the first snow of the year!!!!Kevin

That reminds me of a shirt I saw on a guy on RFD-TV some time ago. This couple met at a tractor show and got married at another tractor show. Anyway, the guy was wearing a shirt that said "Looking for woman with tractor. Please send photo of tractor." I liked that!!

Another thought.
Conduct a soil test. Incorporate any needed ammendments this fall.
Disk the plot, then sow with a winter grass such as winter rye. Next spring plow the winter rye under - green manure.
