Got cold enough for frost here, but looks like nothing got hammered, so we lucked out again!----In a couple of days I will make the first harvest cutting of the spinach!!---That will be the first new crop to go in the freezer!(we only have a few bags left from last year, so this will be a welcome sight to "getting bare" freezers)
Will get pics too,--just been busy weeding planting, and plucking roosters!!---got 7 more to do!(they went into the freezer at 6 months of age and are not too bad to cook and cut the meat up for soup made with an assortment of veggies from the freezers!
I will also do another planting of greenbeans, since it took this planting over 20 days to come up, they may be too stressed to make anything!---the blue lake 242's will have to be re-planted altogether since they don't look well at all!---The Contender's are about 4" tall and look fair! thanks; sonny

Sounds like some varmints need to meet their maker :big yuk: My old Ruger Varmint rifle in 220 Swift with the 20X scope will deal with mine  Two birds with one stone, gardening and hunting in one place, how corn-venient.

Did another spinach harvest,--got another 7 bags for the freezer, also had another 4 bags of strawberries to freeze.
Still planting late cabbage (88 plants so far) and more maters, (several different kinds this year) --Will probably have at least 200 tomato plants total.
Transplanted the sweet potatoes last night ,(95 plants),--planted sweet corn a couple days ago (hope it makes it)
Here are a couple vids of the cultivator at work in the spud rows!
this is th first 8 rows, they are now blooming and setting spuds underneath!
Image
this was in the other late planted 9 rows in garden #3 and a side view of the unit.
Image

It does a decent job,--just gotta hold it up so it don't try to sink in a foot deep!!--ole' cub good for about 4", and that is great! I can then go in with a small tiller and munch up the lumps and get the fine texture back! thanks; sonny

Looks like things are shaping up for you. I wish I could say the same. I'll get the Cub out and cultivate like you're doing when I get back from CubFest. I'm jealous.

Also planted some sweet peppers and more maters this evening a little before dark! thanks; sonny

Kevin!---If you have some pea seed left, plant them in August for a fall crop like turnips, beets, etc. and they should mature before frost and during cooler weather!----I think I will do that this year with peas and turnips! thanks; sonny
