well the wind blew a few trees into the field. I figured I would push them out with my JD 4040. here is the results
notice the deer in the back ground another enemy of mine
nice side view this is called the lowrider version so you do not have to step up into the cab
The PTO is lowered so midgets can hook it up, they also must use a snorkel and dive gear
This happened last thursday and it is still sitting there and we had another 3 inches of rain since

It's green. It probably thinks you were trans planting it.

How for is that tree hedge? If you had a cable that long and wrapped it around the bottom of one of those trees and used a come- a- long, along with the tractor power helping, I think it would pull itself out. Another thing I learned is; raise the loader (bucket) all the way (straight) up to transfer as much weight on the back wheels. You don’t need any weight on the front end.
That's a nice tractor.
That's a nice tractor.

I my nephew got her out today while I am at work. Go figure a GA boy that only deals with red clay got her out. He drives truck for a living and stopped in yesterday since he was here and stayed the night. Told him he could start digging and on monday I had a backhoe comeing. I was jokeing he had it out by 11am. She is ready to work again. Also right after he got it out he sunk the cub in the same field, that was easy to get out. just lift it up and put back on dry land.

Thanks for sharing.
Brings back memories of memorable moments around here as well. If you think a 4020 can get stuck you should see what a 500 HP Cat Challenger can do with a 42 row planter behind it. It took 4 other Challengers to pull it out. Nearly a whole day to unpack the mud in the seed tubes.
Rule of thumb... The larger and more powerful the easier to get stuck and harder to get out.
