Well my son had a tree jump out in front of him with his Bronco, he was not hurt thank God. So I have found him a ride and me a hog hauler. It just an old Dodge slant six with a 4 speed with the granny gear, but it suits me and tickles Tim

We plan to build a livestock boddy on the back of it

Should do you good, BIL had one like that for years. he would take it places most people wouldn't think of. Good gas mileage too. Good luck with it. Grump

I had a Dodge slant six once. Good gas milage. Low on low end torque, but your 4 speed should take care of that.

Dave I have the perfect box for the bed of that truck. made of Oak. I used it for hauling hogs and goats when I wasn't pulling a trailer

David, I had a 1980 model Dodge truck with a slant six 5 speed that I bought new. I run it 14 years and had over 300,000 miles on it. When I traded it in it looked like new and the salesman took it and sold it as orignal miles, I think it was showing about 75K for about the 4th time. That was pretty dirty and made me real mad...

I traded in a truck years ago to a dealer, I ran across it in a grocery store parking lot, happened to see the new owner. He was happy with it and said he was pleased with it and was in good shape for 60K miles. I told him it had over twice that when I traded it in :?: Pissed me off and I called the Better Business Bureau and they asked why I was calling, I hadn't purchased it??? Makes you wonder what goes on behind the scenes at some places. I put a lot of highway miles on my vehicles and keep a truck for 200+ miles in about 5 years. They have the cosmetic appearance of an average mile truck, makes me wonder if when they run them through auction houses if they reset the odometer? The good thing about the ole Dodge, it should keep running and be easier to repair than the newer ones!
