and we could use rain here. I hope you have all enjoyed your gardens as I have mine this year. The food will be coming soon. I also have a smaller garden and have been eating peas, beans, lettuce, rhubarb and aspargus for some time.

Garden looks good. Ours burned up. 40 days without rain and 100+ temps will do that to you. Have you ever tried the oriental egg plant? To me, it is better than the "standard" egg plant in that the skin on the oriental type is tender and can be eaten while the skin on the "regular" one has to be peeled off like a slice of bologna. That is my experience. The oriental ones make better around here also. They will have 6 or so on at the same time. I got some oriental by mistake at the feed store. Didn't pay any attention when I set them out. When they started making, I wondered what in the world they were. I have planted them ever since. Just my thoughts.

Well my garden is doing great so far.Corn was planted ay late[Mem weekend] so I hope to get something.Peas are up to par along with the green beans.All my plants are healthy and producing well!!!Cucumbers wooo hoo!!! Real nice this year.I love the 2nd year garden.3rd is when it really starts to go!!!! Shelled peas for 2 hrs got 2 1 qt freezer bags!!! Kevin :{_}: :{_}:

My tomatoes ared doing really well this year..one plant got so big it broke the cage and fell over....have it laying in a lawn chair...averaging 4 to 5 per day about baseball size...no splitting either this year..will post picture when I get a day off....my neighbors are really happy with them...need to learn to can....I had a killer BLT last night for dinner.....traded three tomatoes for two peices of bread....we both made out
