Is using composted horse bedding (plus manure, of course) good to use for a soil amendment?

Is it sawdust or straw ? if it is sawdust it may require some extra lime. should be good stuff high in nitrogen.

Mike, it's mostly wood shavings.

This will make good compost for the soil. My soil always needs to be limed in the spring and some woodshavings can increase the soil acidity. But in the long run, increasing organic matter increases garden health for growing.
