Did any of you guys have problems with peaches this season?
My mom has a peach tree and it was loaded with nice peaches, then we left for a weekend and came back, all of them were gone. Don't know if an animal got them or what.

:censored: squirrels or deer, if there wasn't any damage to the tree.

Amanda,

If there were no seeds left on the ground around the tree, I would suspect humans, not animals. :D

weird thing was that the peaches weren't near being done enough to pick.
No seeds or anything remains though

Deer eat a lot of mine before they're ripe and don't leave any seeds on the ground. Watched em do it. When the peaches are ripe, they leave the seeds.???? Don't seem right but I guess thats mother nature. They will stand on their hind legs and strip peaches almost to the top of the trees. I had to string a maze of binder twine 2 feet high all around the trees and that seems to keep them out. (also helps me trip on em) Grump

I had the deer eat my branches on my little peach trees in the spring. I just had something eat my hot peppers and the plants too. I have a big rabbit running around that i feed. I think he likes mexican food too. The peppers were japeno's.

Last year i spent $50 on corn seeds and this year too, and the deer ate 75% of my corn. But i figure if we ever need meat i know were they been eaten plus the'll be back to eat some lead. If i never need meat they will be big and healthy.

I also have a deer feeder going all winter too. I supply the cracked and whole corn.
