I love how in the second picture the cat's eyes are closed. It looks so peaceful.

I bet he could give you all kind of "peaceful" if you ever cornered him. :) What a hunting machine.....beautiful animal!

Lynx are an amazing feline, highly efficient at hunting. I want to see one in person, at a safe distance, of course. I would rather avoid "Cat-scratch fever"

I seen the exact same animal near my house in ct. it was crossing the road infront of my car. I call it a lynx while others call it a bobcat. To me i've seen both and the lynx is bigger and the bobcat fur is a different pattern. A mountainlion was spotted nearby here too. I now have a blackbear living in the watershed area behind my land too. The bear is about 3 years old and over 200lbs. i seen its tracks in my corn field recently. Of course i have my bear gun ready at all times now. Its been known that they will break into a house to get an easy meal. All i can think is guess who's comming for din/din at 2am. I'll be serving up 300gr lead sandwhiches....I really don't want to hurt it but if its in the house?????

Great photos, Micah. I saw one here in Greene, Maine, last winter, but I think the coyotes might have run it off since I've not seen it again. Thanks for the photos. Jeff
