Snake in My Disk

Postby Brandon Webb » Thu Apr 15, 2010 11:06 pm

Went to hitch up my great grandfathers old disk, Grabbed the tongue pulled it up and reached down to drop the hitch pin in and saw something through the square hole pictured below. The hitch was hollow and I guess it was a warm place to sleep when the sun heated the iron. Needless to say I couldn't get the snake out so I left the disk where it sat. Lesson learned, be careful and watch where you put your hands this time of year. I'd have never guess a snake could have got inside the tongue of the disk. He was alive but couldn't turn around even with me poking him with a stick. Wonder if he was there all winter?

Looks more like a "watch me scare em" snake to me. I'm not afraid of snakes but when they suprise me I can scream and jump with the best of em. Grump

There are 2 kinds of rattlesnakes, copperheads, and cottonmouths, but I agree that looks like a black snake ( Eastern Racer).
