Beets, turnips and onions etc., are a surface crop and grow on top of the ground!---just keep weeds pulled and the dirt loose and they will do fine! thanks; sonny

Don ! Got it right on the money, I always hill my corn when it get's up to about 8" to 12" root"s hold tight. :)
