Chipping Dogs

I recently found out that here in Pa., if your dog is chipped it is a lifetime license. When you go on the counties web site here ,you enter in your numbers and who your sevice is with eg. home again or what ever, and of course the one time fee and your dog is in. What i find good about the service is that the spca, animal rescues or veterinarians have the wand will access your info and notify you of your dogs where abouts.

Grump , after a little more digging i found out that the vet will chip them for around $40.00 and the county fee is $31.00 here,I an sure the 40 bucks can come down with shopping around. Of course the county is non-negotiable. They also except tattoo's. The part I like is that with the chip if some one gets your pet it will eventually get back to you if the system works.
