Acorn Squash

We have planted Table Ace Acorn Squash for a few years and have always done very well with them. We eat a lot and pass the extras around the neighborhood.

This year with a lot of wet spring and early summer then a few weeks of dry August more than half of the squash have ended up being yellow. These yellow ones are not rotting or spoiled that we can tell and they are just as firm as the normal usually are.

The good green ones are good eating again this year. Should we go ahead and fix a couple of the yellow ones and see if they taste alright or are they a no no? Thought maybe some one could shed some light on this.

Thanks, Tim

They are safe to try!---just may taste different,---may not!--sometimes the color is affected by weather, but not the flavor! thanks; sonny

Thanks to both of you. We tried one of the yellow ones and it was just fine.
