Are they the same company now? My reason for asking is that I ordered a part for a Marlin 22 and it came from Remington Arms.

Looks like it.

I love my Marlin 22. Have a few Remingtons too. I don't think there was a better scatter gun than the 870. I even have a 30-06 pump pased on the 870. I was duck hunting once and dropped my Wingmaster in 3 ft. water/ mud. After fishing it out, I swished it around in the pond water, field stripped it and dried it with my shirt tail and hunted the rest of the day with nary a mis-fire or hang up. 8)

Yep, Harrington and Richardson became New England arms, was bought by Marlin, and the whole mess was bought by Remington.
