Your chicks look great! I'm currently remodeling the coop, getting ready for our chicks later this Spring. We've had Barred Rock before too, and I agree, they're hard to beat. Great temperment besides being hardy and good layers. We've also had Silver Lace Wyandotte, Golden Lace Wyandotte, Araucana (fluffy-faced chicken that lays blue/green eggs), Rhode Island Reds, and Dominique (similar to the Barred Rocks).
We usually order our chicks at the feed store, then they arrive about a month later. We sure enjoy them. Leaning towards a whole flock of Barred Rocks, like yours.
