I know you might not want to answer, but I'm going to ask anyway. What's the secret to growing turnips like that? Is that just a common old purple top or is it something else? I pulled a bunch of turnips out of my patch yesterday to go along with the New Year's greens, beans and ham(no it wasn't jowl but still still from the hog - just the other end). They were delicious and really went good with everything else. However, the largest one I ever grow don't get any larger than a baseball. I know that thinning helps them to grow but nothing like yours.
I would really like to know your secret.
Thanks Roy
