My New Cub Quilt

My wife, Robyn, is an exceptional quilt maker and has the awards to prove it. I'm always amazed at her talent and workmanship.

Last summer, she took a picture of Nellie, my 1947 Circle Cub, and decided to do a quilt of it. She enlarged the picture as much as she could, then through a series of grids, hand drew the shapes and patterns of the different colored areas represented in the photo.

A couple weeks ago, she completed the project. Quilt measures about 60"x60". I think she did a great job! The picture's a little fuzzy:

Here's a copy of the original picture on the back of the quilt with all the pertinent info:

Just wanted to share this with you. Originally, we were going to submit it to the Red Power Round Up, but found out that they don't have a quilt competition each year (like they did last year). It's up to each IH State Chapter whether or not to have a quilt show. We were told 2012 was not going to have a quilt show/competition this year. Oh well, I'll just have to wait 'til the Missouri State Fair to see how it does. :D

My wife has a request. Can you post a picture of the entire quilt? Thanks, Vern
