Finally Planting Potatoes

Postby PVF1799 » Fri Jul 05, 2013 9:34 pm

Looks like tomorrow, I'll be able to get on the JD - hook up the disc and get the field ready for potatoes. Our heavy clay soil doesn't dry real well, especially after 15" of rain in 8 weeks. Now we'll just need a decent fall growing season. On the bright side, the chance of potato bugs is now passed :D.

The tater bugs here this year are very few!!! Some were In the early planting but hand picking and good ole ethanol gas took care of them!!!
Tomato worms started in the later planting and malathion took care of them!
I have garden pics but Internet is off again so gotta wait to post them. ( this dumb iPhone sucks when posting and don't know how to post pics on forum with it) thanks sonny
