Glub glub!

Postby ScottyD'sdad » Wed Apr 09, 2014 4:55 pm

I wanted to turn over a couple of furrows, to start a strawberry bed. Made it to the end of the first furrow, and, Glub, glub. Sunk! The 1 1/2 inches of rain, 2 days ago, got me!

Sounds like it'll have to wait a day or so.

1/4 inch coming, tonight, and an inch or more, Tuesday. Don't know if I can get it out, before Tuesday. Still wet, there,, today Disk plow is dragging, because of rear wheels being sunk, so it's an extra drag.

Got it out today. Friday night's rain failed to appear. Yesterday the field was still too wet to getit out. Today, I got it out, and plowed a few more furrows. 1 to 1 1/2 inches of rain, coming Tuesday, so I'm out of business, for the week.

Ed- Just be thankful you don't have to fit farming around your work schedule anymore!
