RE: Dan and How should I use my property.

http://www.terraserver.com if that doesn't work search using terraserver.

Free topographic, aerial photos, satellite images/maps of your property. Site also has National AG Imagery. Images are small but useful and from USGS.

Better sized (larger) are available from the State and Fed AG people in your county. These maps are great for planning property usage.

http://www.Maps.google.com will also do the aerial sat photos for your address. Sometimes I have found Terraserver to be busy.

I pumped in 3203 east handsome brook road franklin NY and can pick out my place ok because of the big pond. Acouple of months ago it didn't pick the address because it is not on US Mail. The address is assigned for enhansed 911 and now shows.
You may have a similar problem but if you input a nearby neighbor or intersection can pan to find your place.

My county assessor's website updated to a new system and has some very good aerial photographs of mine and the surrounding properties. I used to keep a good printed version on my office wall at work and daydream every now and then.
