Wife has been mixing chopped black walnut meats into Jiffy cake mixes and in frosting. Daughter makes oatmeal, raisin, and black walnut cookies.

So, now that you have us properly salivating, when can we expect the Christmas cookie packages to start arriving??!! :{_}: :coffee:

Never. This is a do it yourself project. I provide the walnut meats, you make the cookies, then send me most of the cookies.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Just read that to our daughter a few weeks ago. It’s true here, lol.

Realize that I have 4 great grand kids under the age of 6, two grand daughters and son in-laws, and two adult kids. Daughter's father in-law loves black walnuts, there numerous cups. And son and daughter take cookies to work to pass around. That is a whole lot of cookies.

Black walnut meat is an expensive delicacy if you purchased from the grocery store.

Any way, I have the black walnut trees, most years the nuts, and the considerable amount of time it takes to process into meats. Keeps me out of mischief and politics.

Baked a banana, date, black walnut bread this morning. It is good, very good.

Gave several 2 cup packages of black walnut meat to friends. Pay back was a loaf of banana nut bread and a bottle of home made apple wine. Also very good.
I have an excuse. CRS.
