National Western Stock Show
in Denver ended on Sunday. A young lady named Lillie Skiles from Hereford, TX had the Jr. Grand Champion Steer last year which sold at auction for $135,000.00. This year her steer won again and was sold at auction for $140,000.00. Both were record amounts. She can't show again because of age restrictions. I guess her college is paid for now!

Re: National Western Stock Show
Thanks for posting Bob, my niece hauled her steer all the way from Spencer, Indiana and said it was one heck of a show!! I agree, at those prices there will be some left for college even after the IRS takes its chunk!!

Quite an impressive payout. Bet she was thrilled to win back-to-back years.

I looked at the price of steak at the grocery store the other day and passed, how much will these be a pound?
