hydraulic control valveMy hydraulics leak down on both of my 154's. Anyone had any luck rebuilding them ?
Re: hydraulic control valveI have rebuilt hydraulic control valves. You need to remove the valve, disassemble, inspect to determine bore, spool valve and o-ring condition. Problem is probably a damaged o-ring, but one never knows until the valve is inspected.
Just checked the service manual. Tractor serial number U018709 and below has a circuit relief valve. Might be the problem. Service manual contains instructions for repairing the control valve. I have an excuse. CRS.
Re: hydraulic control valveAre you sure there is no water in your hydraulic system?
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
Re: hydraulic control valveThe mowers on mine go down after a week or so,but I think the lift cylinder has worn piston in them! thanks; sonny
Re: hydraulic control valveThe hydraulic system is single action. If you are not losing oil externally, then the leak down is occurring at/in the hydraulic control valve.
I have an excuse. CRS.
Re: hydraulic control valveNo water in the system. No external leaks. One tractor leaks down in about 5 min. the other tractor in 5 seconds.
