New Here

Postby Bigdaddytcochran » Mon May 11, 2020 7:57 pm

Hey all, I'm new here.
I recently acquired a new to me 1972 lo boy 154.

Trying to get some ideas for how to make it do the most for me.

It came with a blade and a mower deck. Woods 3160

Wondering if there are any rear mount roto tillers out there that will fit it?

Not even sure where to start, but I thought asking here might be the best place to begin!

Thanks in advance,
Tony

There are tillers but they are scarce and require the 3 point hitch. Supposedly the creeper gear is also a got to have or the ground speed is too fast.

There was a 184 with all the implements, including tiller, in Seville Ohio a couple years ago for $2,500. I still kick my self for not rushing to get it.

The tiller for these machines is a Model 15 Tiller. They are shown at the end of the 154 manual.
A 3-point hitch and a creeper is required. Chains are not required to use the tiller.

Carl - That was a great price for a 184 with all the dressings! (Let alone the implements!)

IF you have a 3160 mower for sure,---It's NOT woods, its an old Danco---WAY different animal when it comes to getting parts!!
