154 loboyLooking at a 154 everything works fine with one exception. It has the HI LO range and none of the gears work in high range, no strange noises tractor just won't move. Possible cause? Anyone have pictures of the drivetrain?
Give this a try.

I recently had a 154 with a creeper drive. Before you tear into anything, One thing to try, turn the tractor OFF, leave the transmission in 1st gear, then pull/push the creeper drive lever out of low gear range into the "neutral" position. "Neutral" is not really a position on the creeper drive, but you will find that you can disengage the creeper if you pull/push the lever only 1/2 way. Keeping the tractor in gear and turned OFF, on flat, level solid ground (garage floor, driveway, etc.) roll/rock the tractor back and forth until you find "neutral". The tractor will not want to move/roll on the floor until you disengage the creeper and find "neutral" Then, continue pushing/pulling the lever into the high gear position while rocking the tractor back and forth, until it clunks into the high gear range position. Once again, the tractor should not want to roll any longer once you have re-engaged the creeper drive in the high position.
It is easy to find this neutral position while driving the tractor, and think that you actually have the creeper fully engaged. Trust me, I found this out the hard way. This little exercise will let you know for certain that you actually have the creeper drive in the correct position for the gear range that you want to be in. Red, to get to the drive you have to split the tractor. hopefully Bill's suggestion will solve your problem.
