Farmall Cub

I finally got to paint my replacement grill for the 154. I'm missing the grill insert for it, anyone have suggestions as to a good substitute?

Any kind of wire mesh that will protect the radiator will work.

Though this is not a 154 grill, it will still give you an idea for making one for your tractor. This was underneath the grill of my 57 Lo-Boy. I think that you can buy small pieces of this mesh material at Lowes or Home Depot.

They are a HUGE supply shop, and carry almost anything that you can think of, Literally.

Do a search for Hardware Cloth.

This is one that I found that would be awfully darn close to the original mesh in the 154 grill, without the square ridges.



If you don't like that, you can look around for all different kinds of stuff, sheets with holes, diamonds, triangles, woven rectangles, punched squares, etc. You should be able to find something that fits your liking.

I was always curious about buying something like the one pictured above, then making up a jig out of 3/4" wide boards, that you could lay the cloth in and press it, making it look like the original grill with the 3/4" wide lines. Anyway, it would be worth trying.

There was a guy on e-bay from your area that was parting out a bunch of 154's. I bought a bunch of stuff for my 184 from him. His name was hamiltonbob. I can see if I still have his address.

Lance you will want to build a frame and attach the mesh to the frame. That is how it looks one my 154.
