Numbered Series Cub Sickle Mower?I went to a pre-auction inspection this evening, spied a bunch of bargains hopefully I'll bingo on Saturday. I found some type of IH sickle mower, appears to be for a cub, as it has a short sickle, and a small cub sized pto shaft. It is extra heavy duty with a hydralic lift. It's not a balanced head sickle mower like found on the highway mowing lowboys, but very similiar in complexity, what do the sickle mowers for the 185's and such look like? Are they similiar to what I described? I should have took a camera but it was coming a flood. Brandon.

Brandon:
I think that the correct Model Number for the Numbered Cub Sickle Bar Mower would be the IH-222. The 222 is a side mounted mower that adjusts from a 30 degree angle above grade to 15 degrees below grade. No-sag type, heat treated high carbon steel, 5 foot cutter bar. Is is quite low to the ground. Hope that helps. Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship
