Ralph,

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have a 184 grille?

The 154 takes a mesh grille while the 184 has a tic tac board looking grille. (9 boxes)
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Stanley, there's a fellow on the Forum as well as on eBay (Hamilton Bob) who lives down near Cincy.

He parts out the numbered series LowBoy's on a regular basis.

Not sure if he has one currently listed, but here's a link to his eBay listings, and you could always send him a msg asking if he has one?

Real nice guy, fair and honest.

I deal with hamilton bob on a daily basis for my 154 cub parts. Right now he is parting out 3 int154's. You can also search ebay for "int 184" too. If that turns up nothing then you need to hit the tractor salvage yards. Unless you tell hamilton bob to let you know if he parts out a 184. With him you'll get a better deal i'm sure, Ralph will also give you a good buy if he had one too i'm sure.

If anyone wants what i'm bidding on let me know, i'm "bill154cub" so we don't get into a bidding war. Please i'll pass it up for a cub forum brother.

I've been looking for a grill shell & screen for a 184 for well over a year now. Seems that no one is parting these tractors out. The new parts have a real hefty price on them, but it doesn't matter, you can't get them there either. I talked to Hamilton Bob and also a fellow in PA. with no luck. The lady that owns this tractor is quite willing to pay whatever it takes, (even for new parts) so if anyone has a lead on them, please let me know.

154 grill screen fit a 184

Postby Larry Barb Dotson » Wed Mar 12, 2008 9:26 pm

I went to the shop and removed the egg crate grill and ribbed screen from the 184 to be sure what the situation is. The screen from a 154 will work in the 184. The only difference was the 154 has two small pegs to hold the top of the screen into place. These are not needed on the 184 screen because it has the egg crate grill to hold it into place. To use the 154 screen in a 184 you may need to cut off the small locating pins and paint it flat black as IH did. Fot that matter, one could add the pins to a 184 screen to be able to use it in the 154. This is the final grill for the 154 but is covered by a plastic egg crate grill for the 184.

Larry,

Are the two screens made of the same type mesh? BigBill metioned in his post the two are different, I have never seen a side by side comparision.

Can anyone provide a picture of a 184 grille screen?

Best regards,

Stanley
They are identical except for the two pins and the color as I mentioned before. Both have round 5/64 mesh holes and the same number of ribs. They also have the same top and bottom edging. I don't have the ability to send pictures but you shouldn't need them
