154 3pt sinle bottom plow

Postby ClackamasCub » Sat Aug 23, 2008 8:01 am

Anyone ever tried a plow on the 154? How'd it go? Any suggestions for what size plows might work and where to find one?

Thanks

I pull a single 14" moldboard with my 154. I have wide turf tires and getting set in and level was kind of tricky but it plows ok. What color is your ground? I don't think I would try to break out any "new" black ground esp.if it has lot's of top on it. :) Good luck GT

I have a IH single 14 that came with my 154 ... works ok ... I use snow chains to help with traction, but you have to pay attention, I pulled the front end off the ground when I hit a rock and scared the crap out of me .... I have the creeper gear so it will pull thru just about anything if you have enough traction ... my soil sucks .. hard clay with rocks ... its even a struggle for my JD B with 2 12" 's .... shhhhh ... I know this is a IH page but I have most "colors"

You will not like a std 3 point plow. A certain model model 301 I believe is used on the loboy- The depth offset for this tractor is different from std 3 point tractors.
