C-60-R Engine

Postby suburbanred » Tue Oct 07, 2008 6:52 pm

I was told the C-60-R Engine in my 70 154 lo boy is the same as the engine in some IH Cub. If so what is the engine type or model? Are all the parts interchangable?
What is a good source for engine parts?

C-60 (no R) is the engine model. The C-60 in your 154 is the same basic engine as the older cubs. The guts of the engine parts are interchangeable, but some of the exterior 'bolt on' parts are unique for each model of tractor. TM tractors (site sponsor) is a good source of parts and a link is at the bottom of the page. Napa will also have engine parts as well as any good engine shop will be able to order them.

TM Tractor is an excellent source for parts. http://www.tmtractor.com/new/en/en_001newparts.htm Your local automotive supplier like NAPA can also order made-in-USA service parts. I avoid Chinese-made parts.

Let us know what you need, some are the same others are not. Domed pistons on later engines
