Clem - most likely Carter & Gruenewald will be your best source. Good luck with the pto parts. I hear they ain't cheap.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Re: where to get 154 parts
I am not pos. about it but I think they are diff., because they are mounted at the rear of the driveshaft,---at least my 185 is, and the LIVE PTO parts for these dudes are in stock at your local IH dealer, (at least mine were) and if you only need a couple spacers and the wavy washers, they will sell you a kit that has them and the drive plates in it for around $260.00!---if you need other parts they will only sell the complete clutch assembly for $1200.00 and some change---so thats why I now own a 185 WITHOUT a working pto on it!----I have not found any other sources yet for the needed parts at REASONABLE cost!
The clutch is not an IH part,--its made by some TGWoods or something like that company in PA.I am still lookin' too!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks; sonny

Yes, the throw-out bearing is different, and more expensive, than a standard cub's. Ed

Re: where to get 154 parts
Go to ebay and look for "hamiltonbob" he has used 154/185 parts. I just purchased a throwout bearing that is still in usable condition. He also has PTO parts too. Why buy new when used will do. The throwout bearing is greasable too so most are in good condition.
Hamiltonbob just listed another 154 for parts on ebay.
Right now i have almost a complete 154 on the shelf for parts. I want to keep my three 154's running for many years after there restoration.

I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Re: where to get 154 parts
You don't even have to go to to search for Hamilton Bob. If any vendor is a member here, or simply any member who parts as a sideline and has satisfied customers and wishes to have their business listed in the Specialty Services page of the Cub Manual Server, all they have to do is send me their pertinent information such as..
Business Name
Owner's Name (and farmallcub.com userid)
Address and contact info such as tel/fax/email/webpage
Specialty... such as with Hamilton Bob .. Numbered Series Cubs - Specializing in 154's
All members who are listed can be identified by the IHCub logo for farmallcub.com which is reflected at the bottom of their listing. Forum sponsor's are also identified.
Also, if you have a favourite supplier for Used Parts or any parts, as long as they have good customer feedback/reputation and are recommended by preferably TWO (2) members I will post those as well.
