Showroom New 154 Spotted
The boss (at work) sent me to a factory in Canada to fix a couple of things and wouldn't you know, they have a showroom new (never been outside) 154. Can't have many hours on it because it is only used to push cars off the end of the assembly line that won't start. Paint still shiny and the tires were not worn. No rust anywhere and didn't leak a drop of oil. It didn't have any options on it but I was amazed at its condition. What a grab this will be for someone someday!

No pic's are available as many manufacturing facilities restrict cameras.
Facility must remain unnamed. Sorry.

Sounds like a nice one. There are still some real jewels out there. Someone will be very happy with it some day.

Re: Showroom New 154 Spotted
Several years back I was working at the GM plant in Anderson Indiana, and they had a whole fleet of Economy Power King tractors, which I always liked because they were like "mini" Cubs. They were all sitting on a back loading dock, and were all in nearly perfect condition. One of the employees there told me that they had used them to pull around steel totes of parts from one area to another, in a train, that way moving a lot more at one time than a forklift would.
We were on a long term project, so I figured that the next time I went out there I would see if I could buy one or two of them. In the meantime, I was re-assigned to a different project and never made it back. Since then the plant was demoloshed so I'm sure someone got a good deal.
SO, if you are at all interested in them, I would get back out there in a hurry and talk to the plant manager. You'd be suprised what kind of deals you can make, especially in today's economy. Oh, and have CASH, a truck and trailer ready, because being able to do it right at that moment may mean the difference between yes and no.
