154 clutch

Postby Smoked U » Wed Mar 31, 2010 5:20 pm

I'm going to be picking up a 1975 154 LoBoy in the next month. The seller says the clutch is getting weak, so can someone direct me to a source for a replacement disc and possibly a pressure plate assembly?

Thanks.

You can buy these parts thru CIH yet. The disc is about $ 57, the PPA is about $ 159. You can buy both together in a set for $ 161. How's that for parts $$$$ savings???

Believe it or not there are two little wooden dowel pins that push against the clutch plate and need to be replaced for just peanuts.
IHC made a quality machine and was leader of the pack.Let's keep them running,

OK, checked with the CIH dealer in Southern Indiana about the clutch & Pressureplate assemblies, $260.00 +.

What gives?? Where is this $ 161.00 package deal anyway?

I would suggest you give Ken a call a his place of employment -- Carter & Grunewald - which btw is a CIH dealer.

The $160 PPA/Disc set is a Case-IH part.

If your local "dealer" can't find this in the E.P.R.W. they need to have some online training......
