Rebuilding my 3260 mower deck (parts)

Postby BigBill » Tue Jun 22, 2010 2:54 pm

Ok i purchased these part before but there MIA somewhere, i just can't locate them right now so in the future i'll have extra mower deck parts anyhoo. But i just ordered them again and here's what i found price wise;

From; http://www.pressureparts.com (just punch in the part numbers)

941-3028 bearing race $3.50 each (need 6)

741-3029 roller bearing $ 6.50 each (need 6)

From; http://www.outdoordistributors.com

473428 seals $4.55 each (need 6)

Its around $100 + to rebuild the mower 3260 deck.

I'm thinking the cub cadet mower decks take the same bearings??? Since i'm rebuilding my PTO i figure i'd rebuild the mower deck too. Its been growling. I did grease it and it got a lot quieter but i know it needs attention.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

I'm doing this over this winter. Thanks for the info! I'm still looking for seals but everything else is in.

My int 3260 deck is running quiet now.

Don't forget to change the mule drive bearings. I rebuilt my PTO first, then the 3260 spindles. The mule drive bearings felt ok. By September she threw the mule drive belt. I noticed one of the mule drive bearings was bad go figure. I purchased two brand new mule drive pulley assemblies. Then it's all brand new. Next time instead of chasing my tail I'll rebuild the complete package.

Using the int154 is like sitting on my couch mowing it's so comfortable. It's easy on my golf ball sized kidney stone.
