IH 184 Loboy final drive oil Fill

To drain the oil from the lo-boy finals it appears that you must remove the housing pan. How do you get the right amount of oil back in the final, since the cub fill plug is on the low side?

Just fill to the level of that plug hole. the final drives don't require a whole lot of fluid.

There is another fill plug up on the rear of the final drive, facing the rear of the tractor, number 3 on the image below. That should be the correct fill plug, not the lower one that you use on a Farmall Cub.

Thanks. The manual that I"m looking at seems to have forgotten the fill-up part. I'll check that out as I'm doing some re-wiring of the lights and switches.
