Food for thought:
I learned something on my second non running int154. It had rattle so the PO rebuilt the engine and ran it. it still had the rattle when he took the engine apart again to try to find the noise. I noticed after i purchased the non running parts 154 that the driven pulley on the pto shaft was rounded out at the bore making the rattle noise. This tells me we need to watch how much we tention the twin drive belts on the PTO driver pulley's. It may not be the engine or other things sometimes, it maybe something else making the rattle. I do accept these are old machines and most of them were run hard with little maintenace but when there running right they will serve us well. Bill
