154, 185, or 184 with Farmall sheetmetal?

So, I'm finally warming up to "Culti-Vision", but I still like the look of a symmetrical platfom and steering layout. I used to mow for a guy who had a 185, but never thought of it as a Cub descendant. It was somewhat awkward to get on and off the tractor, etc.. I did always like mowing with it, though.

Has anyone put original Cub sheetmetal on a newer Lo-Boy? I think '55-'57 tin would look great on a 154, etc.. Like other "Phantoms", it would take more work than expected, plus purists wouldn't like the hybrid machine. I would just l\ike to see pictures of such a conversion, if it exists.

Thanks,
zim

The int154, int185 and int184 are really cub cadets on steroids with the fcub engine, tranny and final drives, but of course they look like a larger cub cadet.

I think your idea is a good one but,,,,if you used the sheetmetal and nose/grill from a later/newer farmall cub it maybe easier to redo? What if you just changed the grill that would change the look and be really easy to do since the fronnt frame just holds the radiator and the hood (154) is in with the rad cap and gas tank cap. It would look correct or what you want with just a front fcub grill/frame(newer). At the sametime you can add the side mounted headlites(fcub).

How about a Lo Boy converted to a Hi Boy ? Rotate the finals down and maybe an fcub front axle . . .

Gettin the mower deck down low enough might be a challenge.

Finals will not rotate 90 degrees. Bolt pattern is not symmetrical.

You need to use fcub final housingsfrom a highboy fcub to make a highboy int154.

Then lower the front axle to level it off or make new drop spindles for the 154 castiron front axle.

Now with that said why not just swap your int154 for an fcub?
