Load-O-Lo-Boys!

Postby SONNY » Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:29 pm

Well we went and done it!! these thumbed a ride home with us!

The 154 has a 54 front blade (needs lift linkage shortened so blade will lift more than 1 " off the ground) has a factory 3-point hitch hanging on the back (dont need that on the tractor)---has new battery, starts fairly easy pto clutch rattles like crazy but no mower deck, all drive pulleys are on the tractor , paint is good on both. (on the down side is the fat tires,--need to trade that for skinny tires if possible)

The 185 has woods lb-72 3 blade mower , really mows nice, dead battery,---BUT this little knob sticking out behind the left leg!!! YA---you got it!!! CREEPER GEAR and after using it a few rounds at the farm doing some bush hoggin, I am in love!!! makes a super tractor out of the 185! the one I already had dont have creeper gear and mows ok just kinda way too fast to mow around or up close to stuff!

So we now got 2-185's----a 154 and 3- regular cubs!!---(well, they just keep showing up!---what can I say!!!) LOL!!!

Any way enjoy the pics,---and yes we hauled 2 of them at one time with room to spare!!! thanks; sonny

You are going to hurt the feelings of the F Cub crowd.
They have something you don't see often...an intact front grill!

I also got another 154 this weekend, 3 point, I was hoping for a creeper but no such luck, did have a 1050 loader on it. The loader is just in the way, keep hitting my knee on it, likely just cut up and junk the loader.

3 154s, one 185, two fcubs

The more that I look them over, they do look to be in better shape than I originally thought, so we will see when spring comes how they really are!----A loader could be handy but usually does get in the way!! thanks; sonny

I have a 184 here with the 3pt and a boom pole on it. Loader would make it about perfect. It belongs to a fellow with no place to keep it, so it lives here for now.

Good deal Sonny, you will like them for somethings, just go easy on the clutches, both drive and pto, they are not real sturdy.

Sure wish I was so rich I could afford to go out and buy something then just cut part of it up and scrap it when it would bring me good money.

Both the int154/185/184 abd the fcub have there bad points and good points. There both great machines. The fcub is for light farming while the int154 is a mowing machine. If we put all the good points on one tractor it would be awesome. Live PTO, all cast iron, comfortable seat, geared starter, alternator, power steering ect.

That was a joke, I bought the tractor because of the loader. I have no idea what they sell for but I was happy with the agreed upon price.

I am rich...until the bills start to come in then reality slaps me across the face, or maybe it is my wife doing the slapping.

The power steering would be a GREAT upgrade. While you are dreaming, add a standard 540 RPM PTO!
