C60 engine rebuilding...
I been buying up used parts to make another extra c60 engine to rebuild it before I take the engine out of my fel/hoe project tractor. Since I have all the parts for the fel/hoe I figured I would completely rebuild another engine and swap it out. I'm at a point wether to bore it to .010" over on the cylinders or just ream the ridges and hone the cylinders after checking the bore size of course. The block has a very small ridge in it now. I figure to have the block decked and the head surface to make sure there flat. This will be a machine to clean process that's it maybe .010" cut at the max. I'm going to port the intake and exhaust ports to match the manifold gaskets. This will let it breathe much easier. My question is where do you guys buy your new int154 parts?
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Since you are planning on having the block and head machined and perhaps the cylinders bored, have the machine shop provide prices for needed parts.
I make a list of needed parts, machine work, and supplies, then research prices from various suppliers.

I have an excuse. CRS.

I can do the boring of the cylinders myself. I purchased the boring equipment for doing the bike engines but I can bore any diameter cylinders now. I just need the machine shop to deck the block and cut the head plus grind the valves. The assembly myself. I need the dome pistons for the 154.

I would not just bore it .010 , I would go .020 Very hard to get .010 rings EZ to get .020 if you have to freshen it up at a latter date

Re: C60 engine rebuilding...
I think Boss posted this link previously, but they have the best prices I have seen.

I think the most expensive item I purchased was the oversized dome topped pistons. I spent more on the pistons alone than agkits has for the entire engine rebuild kit.
