More Power?

Postby Smith » Tue Apr 23, 2013 7:00 pm

What are some ways to eek more power out of a 72 Loboy? It already has the Zenith carb. Are there any ignition upgrades that can be done? Also weren't domed pistons a way to add more power? Anything else? I read on Hamilton bobs something about using a 1" bit to bore out the manifold where the carb mates to it.

Get one with a 6-speed transmission----that will get/use all the power that the lo-boy drive train will handle without damage to the tractor. thanks; sonny

While there are some things you can do to increase power output, you'll spend a lot of money for what you get. Installing Pertronix electronic ignition has shown an increase in both HP and torque, so that's where I'd start.
