Threaded holes purpose ???????

Postby GreaseNipple » Thu Aug 01, 2013 6:06 pm

Hello,
I recently posted a question about grill/radiator guards. So while I was looking at my 154 Cub LoBoy, I noticed 3 threaded holes on each side of the tractor, back about a foot from the front grill. This is where I see that the grill guards are mounted to when I look at pictures of other people's Cubs with grill guards.
So my question is......what was the intended purpose of those threaded holes ???? I know that they will work great when attaching a grill guard, but is that what they were intended for or were they there for a front end loader or something else. If they were for a grill guard, how come you don't see any factory guards around???? Lots of questions and so little answers !!!! Help me figure this one out !!!! Thanks.

Go to ebay and look at the 154 with a front end loader on it. It looks like its bolted in those holes.

Yes, those threaded holes are the front implement mounting points, needed for a front end loader, snow blower, or snow blade.
