Farmall Cub

My uncle gave me his 154 after he broke a couple spark plugs off in the head. I've since repaired this and she runs like a top. I want to add a snowblower to her but have done the research and found I need to install the creeper gear. Now this is where it seems to get difficult...I can't seem to find any resource material on this process. No videos, no books, nothing. What I'm hoping to find is someone that either has a video of the installation process OR was planning to do a repair that requires the creeper setup to removed then reinstalled and would be willing to take a lil extra time to record this process.

I previously split my 154 to repair the creeper. No video. My service and parts manuals leave a lot to be desired as far as my 154.

Creeper installation is not going to be as simple as a slide in installation. Looking at my parts and service manual, a number of parts will need to be changed. Currently thinking the cheapest way to get the creeper is to purchase a Low-Boy, running or parts tractor, with the creeper already installed.

I bought a book that has most of the tractor in it, the creeper is in that book,it is called light utilitytractor,the creaper is on page 129.It covers about everything.

The unit your referring to makes the 3-speed into a 6 forward + 2 reverse gears and is planetary drive integral unit factory installed and NOT a add-on or field conversion according to my repair book pics.and procedures on the removal an repair of the unit! thanks; sonny

I don't have a 154, but on the 184, you need a shorter driveshaft to accomodate the creeper.
See HamiltonBobsCubs site (link at the bottom of the page). He shows several different driveshaft lengths for the 154, 185, and 184.

You would also have to find a support bracket to mount the front of the creeper. Like the 3-point hitch, the creeper was an option and it can be added. Most of the parts for the creeper internals can be found on HamiltonBobsCubs site, but the housing is quite difficult to obtain.
