loboy tire chains

Postby GreaseMnky85 » Thu Jan 08, 2015 10:08 am

Anyone know how long and wide the tire chains for a loboy with the turf ties are. I'm taking a set of chain modifying them to fit my tractor. I know they are about 8 got long and about 26 inches wide. If anyone knows how long and wide that would be great thanks! Matt

Turf tires for a Lo-Boy come in various sizes. A tire size would be real helpful in determining the size of tire chains needed.

13.5-16.1 pretty sure that's the tire size

I have a loose set in my garage and will get measurements for you that should get you in the ballpark. I do think my set is a little large so they may not be an exact fit. Hopefully someone else can get measurements too so you can compare.

Tape measure. Jack up one rear tire. Measure the tire diameter and desired chain width.

The reference I have states that the 13.5-16.1 takes a chain that is 21.14 inches (inside length) by 111.42 inches in length, without the fastener. Hope this helps.

My chains measured 24" wide x 85" length not counting fasteners. They fit, but the width is excessive.
