Width of 185 with turf tires

Postby reloader51 » Sat Mar 07, 2015 4:37 pm

I'm going to travel a couple hundred miles to buy a Lo Boy 185 with turf tires and not sure my trailer is wide enough. Can anybody give me an exact measurement of the max width with turf tires (no mower)? I know the specs say 52" but that's for the Ag tires, I believe. Heading out in the morning, so any "quick" info would really be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Arent Ag and Turf tires the same just different tread? I can't imagine a turf tire the same size as an Ag tire would add a ton of width

Turf tires come in different widths. I think you'd be smart to contact the seller with that question. Original tires may have been replaced, etc.

Bob

:Dito: Bob has you on the right track. The tires could be anything from 8.3 to 16.5 depending on the rim size. Stan

Don't forget it may have wheel spacers as well which will change the overall width. My 184 is just under 60" wide with 2" spacers and 16" flotation tires.

I hope it worked out for you!

It fit on my trailer with at least an 1 1/2" to spare! Thanks again for the info.
