My 154 has a belly mower, but there is no decal, label plate, etc. of any sort on it. How do I tell a Woods from an IH 3160 mower? The issue is, the long drive belt from the PTO to center blade is now shot and it's torn and old enough there are no numbers on it, either. I have spares for the two shorter belts from center pulley to the outer blades but those are in fine condition. In the box of spare parts the former owner gave me with the tractor were some belts but no long main drive belt. He had no idea what mower was on the tractor, either.

Re: 154 mower belts
A Woods mower will have only one belt driving all three blades. An IH 3160 mower has two short ones for the outer blades, and a long one for the center blade. The long belt is a B120 which is available at most auto parts stores.

Re: 154 mower belts
Post photos of the mower. Some place on this site is a series of photos of different mowers.
There is a number of makes and models of mower that could have been mounted on a numbered low-boy.
If the belt is mostly intact - take it to your local auto parts store.

Re: 154 mower belts
Eugene and Seahaul - thanks. There are three blades and what I would call sme white IH paint on the pulley guards so figure it must be an IH 3160. I thought that was it but wasn't sure. I've only seen two other newer LoBoys like mine in my travels and only three Cubs. As popular as IH and Farmall were around here in days past I'm surprised. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Ford 2N, 9N or 8N but the Cubs were rare for some reason. I may take a photo or two and post for sure. Again, Thanks.

Re: 154 mower belts
a woods l59 deck which was common on the numbered lo-boys is easily recognizable by looks......one google of it should show you what you need to know to eliminate it from the list of possibilities, as well as color.......base color was burnt orange unless painted over top of but none I've seen can ever hide the orange totally even mine which is painted red......hints of the burnt orange show up after a few mowings...lol

Re: 154 mower belts
I typically work with my local NAPA or Ace hardware when trying to get a belt that will fit and I don't know the exact size. I buy 2 or 3 in the approximate range and test fit them to find the correct one. Then I simply return the unused belts.
I keep everything clean including my hands so I'm not returning a "used" looking product. I also try to get all of this done within the same day. Just make sure they're ok with it up front and that they know you'll be returning the belts that don't fit.

Re: 154 mower belts
The 3260 deck is common too. One belt drives the spindles one belt for the pto. The mower belt is a B100, the pto belt is 165" both are 5/8" belts. I have noticed some belts lately vary in length.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
